The other day I heard a saying that I’ve never really quite understood. I mean, I get why secular psychology would use this saying, but I heard it at a church service. I can’t really remember the context, I know it was said in passing, but right when I heard it the “always look out for blog ideas” part of my brain went off and I set a calendar event to remind myself to write about this saying. Don’t Ask, Don’t Tell

As many of you know, on December 22 President Obama signed into motion the repeal of the Don’t Ask, Don’t Tell law. This law was enacted under the Clinton administration to allow gay men and women to serve in the military as long as they kept their sexual orientation to themselves. Commanding officers were prohibited from asking about sexual orientation, and gay men and women were prohibited from announcing their sexual orientation. Some may say that this repeal is a good thing, because it gives more freedom to homosexuals. Continue reading

I remember hearing many sermons, teachings, and lectures about sex as I was growing up.  Whether it be at church, at home, or in school, this topic was covered by more people than I could possibly imagine while I was in high school.  I’m not saying that this shouldn’t be the case, my concern is what I remember hearing.
