Fearsome Grace

I just recently became acquainted with Preston Yancey’s blog through A Deeper Story when my step-dad emailed me a link to one of Preston’s stories. It took about ten seconds for me to add both blogs to my RSS feed. After Preston posted a preview of his Advent eBook, This Fearsome Thing of Grace, I was ecstatic when he announced that he wanted bloggers to review it. Preston was gracious enough to send me a free copy of the eBook for review purposes, and it has been my joy to read it, and I pray that I do his brilliant work justice as I write.

I have been waiting for Pastor Tullian Tchividjian’s newest book, Jesus + Nothing = Everything, to come out for MONTHS! It was recently released, and I was ecstatic when I saw that this book was available to review.

Like I said yesterday, I like Russell Moore. I liked him when I heard him speak at Criswell College some years ago. And I’ve followed his blog for some time now. I just finished reading his latest book, Tempted and Tried: Temptation and the Triumph of Christ, and I am absolutely blown away.

The Grace of God

In The Grace of God, Andy Stanley does an amazing job covering the various aspects of God’s grace in Scripture, and how it applies to our lives. Stanley shows us how the fact that we were even created is a sign of God’s grace. He discusses God’s grace after The Fall, throughout Israel’s formation and history, and how Jesus is the ultimate expression of The Grace of God.
